Research findings debunk myths about males not being open to getting help after a breakup.

The UBC Males’s Well being Analysis program’s Males Constructing Higher Relationships research was designed to study supporting males who had skilled or had been experiencing relationship breakdown (i.e., divorce, separation or break up).

Men’s experiences with break-ups49 males between the ages of 26-70 participated within the research. Greater than half of the individuals had been dad and mom, and had been in relationships starting from 5 months to twenty-eight years in size. The research discovered:

  • After a break-up, most males reconnected with facets of themselves they’d given up throughout their relationships. 

The research was open to males residing in Australia or Canada who had skilled a relationship breakdown and dealt with it on their very own, or had accessed providers (i.e., counselling, workshops, different sources) to help them by way of the change.
